Adventure Begins at Your Library

Now through – July 27, All Ages

Readers of all ages are invited to join our summer reading club. Stop by for your treasure map or print one from our website and complete at least 3 activities. Turn in your completed log to win fun prizes.

Birth – 8th Graders will receive a free book to keep and an item from our treasure chest.
Teens & Adults will receive a book, phone lanyard, and will be entered into a drawing to win a $50 gift card.

Friends of the Library: Summer Concert Series

Fridays, June 7 – August 30, 12-1pm, Courtyard
The concert series is back for another year of fun music and entertainment. Bring a lunch or bring a friend and enjoy a lovely afternoon. The Friends have drinks and sweet treats for sale.

Free Summer Lunch

Mon.–Fri., June 3 – August 2, 12–1pm
The library provides free boxed lunches to kids and teens age 18 and under in the Ray Bradbury Room on the lower level. The menu changes every day, and lunches are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Individuals with special needs who are 21 years old or under are also eligible to receive lunch.

Youth Theater Camp*

Grades 3-6, Monday-Friday, 6/17-6/21, 11am-12:30pm
Kids will work as a team to develop a script and perform it for family and friends. Camp will focus on theater basics (voice, staging, costumes) and improvisation to develop team-building skills and confidence. Everyone will have a part, and no experience is necessary. Sponsored by the Friends of the Waukegan Public Library.
