Meeting Rooms

The Library has several meeting rooms at the main library that may be reserved by members of the public free of charge. Please read our meeting room policy to find out about the criteria for room use and reservation information. Eligible members of the public may request the meeting rooms up to 60 days in advance. To reserve a meeting room, fill out a meeting room request form or call the Reference desk at 847-623-2041 x238.

Meeting room capacities vary based on your needs and desired setup arrangement. You may choose a setup option at the time of your reservation.

Meeting rooms are equipped with a laptop, data projector, and screen.

4-person study room

Main Floor Study Rooms

There are six main floor study rooms available, with seating from 3 to 8 people, depending on the room. The main floor rooms are available to patrons aged 14 years and older. All study rooms have a flat screen TV. Without a reservation, main floor study rooms are available first-come, first-served by members of the public.

Waukegan Public Library card holders may reserve a study room up to one week in advance for 2 hours by filling out a study room request form, or by calling the Adult Services Desk at 847-623-2041 x238. Users may extend their time for another hour if there is no reserved booking.

Telehealth @ Waukegan Public Library sponsored by Abbott

Use the library’s quiet, private Telehealth Booth to conduct your virtual healthcare appointment with your preferred healthcare provider. The ADA accessible Booth contains a wifi-enabled laptop, webcam, and vitals equipment such as a scale, blood pressure monitor, thermometer, and pulse monitor. For questions, comments, or to book the Telehealth Booth, Contact Adult Services at 847-623-2041 x238 or stop by the library and we will assist you.

Lower Level Study Rooms

Children under age 14 may use one of our Children’s Study Rooms on the lower level. There are also Family Study Rooms available for parents to use with their children. Children’s Department study rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis.  These rooms have a capacity of 4 people. To use a study room, visit the Children’s Department Reference Desk on the lower level.  Questions regarding the Children’s study rooms? Please call 847-623-2041 x280.

There are also 2 lower level study rooms available for adults. Procedures for use and booking are the same as for the Main Floor Study Rooms.
