A monetary gift to the library allows the library to build and offer special projects designed to meet community needs, such as the Early Learning Center and Literacy Suite. Donations can be made to honor a special occasion or cherished memory. Sponsorship opportunities to offset program costs are also available. All contributions are tax deductible.
Gifts can be made to the Waukegan Public Library and/or the Waukegan Public Library Foundation, a 501(c)3.
The Waukegan Public Library Foundation, established in 1986, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which encourages voluntary financial support for the Waukegan Public Library. This support is used to help meet both the present and future needs of the Waukegan Public Library.
The Waukegan Public Library
The Waukegan Public Library is primarily funded through tax dollars. It is through public and private partnerships, fundraising and sponsorship that we can go the extra distance to provide our tax payers with the buildings, programs and services they deserve.
Donating to the Waukegan Public Library helps sponsor yearly and special programs, such as the Monarch Festival, El Dia de los Ninos/Libros, and the Ray Bradbury Storytelling Festival, among others.
