John Wylie will display his landscape digital photography starting Feb. 16 at the Waukegan Public Library’s Gallery 128. Located within the Waukegan Public Library, the gallery will host an opening reception for the artist during Waukegan’s ArtWauk on Feb. 16, from 5 to 7 p.m.
The exhibition titled “Recent Photographs” consists of twenty landscape photographs taken in Japan, New Mexico, Arizona, New York, and Lake County. “I have been fortunate to be able to travel quite a bit, both for work and for pleasure. I always take my camera on my trips, and have always made sure to find time to photograph,” said Wylie. A photographer for more than 40 years, Wylie switched from film to digital photography about ten years ago and works in both black and white and color.
A resident of Grayslake for almost ten years, Wylie works at a law firm in Chicago. His wife, Patsy is an artist and architectural designer.
“Recent Photographs” will be on display at the gallery through April 12. Gallery 128 serves as a dedicated exhibit space to showcase the talents of local artists in the library. To learn more about exhibit opportunities, call Rena Morrow at (847) 623-2041, ext. 231.
