Job Title:  Customer Service Clerk I

Status: Part-Time     
Weekly Hours: 16 hours per week; includes weekends and evening hours

Overview: WPL staff members put quality in people’s lives by listening to constituents’ needs, identifying community issues, and responding with relevant solutions while responsibly managing resources. Library Services staff ensures all patron requests are satisfied with quality customer service at all times. Customer Service team members serve as the first contact for patrons in person and on the phone and answer basic questions about library services, assist the public in using library equipment, check out materials and collect fees and fines when patrons are unable to use self-service circulation equipment, and create and maintain patron records.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or G.E.D.
College degree or experience preferred
1 year of experience in customer service

Skills:
Pleasant personality, able to work with a diverse public and staff
Excellent listening and telephone skills
Able to work efficiently and independently and complete assignments with limited supervision
Able to accurately handle and account for money
Familiar with computer productivity software, e-mail and timesheets
Sound decision maker, able to respond appropriately in interpreting and applying policy
Able to accurately type and/or put items in order, alphabetically and numerically
Fluent in English, oral and written; fluent in Spanish a plus

Job Title: Executive Assistant

Status: Full-Time
Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week; includes weekends and evening hours

Overview: Provides services as assistant to the Executive Director and coordinates communication between the staff, the public, the Board of Trustees, and the Executive Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides direct and timely assistance to the Admin Team in order to support the daily operations of the Library
Serves as Project Manager as requested
Serves as a liaison to the Executive Director; schedules all meetings, events, and activities of the Executive Director
Acts as Recording Secretary for the Board of Trustees and serves as a resource for them
Prepares packets for The Board of Trustee and committee meetings; insures accuracy of recorded documentation
Maintains Library Policies per the Board of Trustees schedule
Serves as FOIA Officer
Oversees OMA requirements
Answers and redirects Administrative calls as appropriate
Assists with the updating of the WPL website, Intranet and other forms of presentation
Maintains documents and reports for Administrative Staff
Proofreads documents for Administrative Staff
Deals with confidential information on a regular basis
Coordinates/approves Public Meeting room reservations in eVanced
Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree with administrative assistant training
Four years of progressive office experience in a mid-sized business setting

SKILLS:
Pleasant personality, able to work with a diverse public and staff
Good listening and telephone skills
Accurate record keeping and typing skills
Good organizational ability
Detail oriented
Able to work independently
Basic mathematical knowledge
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Proofreading knowledge
Flexibility

Job Title: Custodian

 Status: Part-Time Temporary Position

Weekly Hours: 16-20 hours per week; weekday mornings

Overview: Responsible for cleaning, vacuuming, restocking supplies, trash, recycling, general upkeep of the building and grounds.  Candidate must pay superior attention to detail and have complete knowledge of proper techniques, processes, and tools for the custodial field

Education and Skills: H.S. diploma or GED

Requirements:  Must possess valid driver’s license and reliable transpiration
